Minister directs effective implementation of “ Test, track and treat” Strategy
Previously, 6,43,58,765 doses have been given as per the provisional report
Of the 13,04412 doses administered till 7 pm on Wednesday 11,2413 beneficiary were vaccinated for the first time for the first dose and 1,96,999 person’s received second final report would be completed for the day by late night.
In a meeting, conducted regarded pandemic in Punjab and Chandigarh ministry ordered for the effective implementation test track and treat strategy up the testing till active cases dropped below 5% .
The ministry also suggested to increase the rate of testing by 70% in all districts through rapid antigen test for screening in densely populated area and highly positive clusters of cases.
The meeting was chaired by the Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan along with V.K.paul member (health)., NITI aayog asserted about surveillance and containment, Punjab and Haryana were advised to take a quick test forward to surveillance to identify the cases quickly by speeding up the testing and swift the isolation to break the chain of transmission.
