Supreme court on Friday rejected the plea regarding forced religious conversion which pleaded through a PIL seeking steps to control religious conversion, SC said that, it is unreasonable to prevent the persons above 18 years from choosing the religion the want to follow.
The SC has also denied permission to allow the petitioner to represent the particular PIL to the law commission. Justice RF. Nariman said during hearing” No we cannot grant you this permission” and added “There is a reason why the word propagate is there in the constitution.”
