The union health ministry on Thursday reportedly said that more than 1 crore covid-19 vaccine is available with sates and union territories.
The health ministry on Thursday said that at present over 1 crore vaccine is available with sates and UTs, in the next three days more than 20 lakh doses will received by the States.
In between this some Maharashtra state government officials through media reported that vaccine in the state is finished and state is running out of vaccine drive, ministry said that balance of 7,49,960 vaccine doses are available with State for administration of eligible population groups.
Centre clarified that “doses received by Maharashtra state as on April 29 is 1,62,63,470,in this total consumption and wastage are 1,56,12,510 balance 7,49,960 is still available with State”.
The ministry said still government of India has provided over 16.6 crore vaccine to all the states and UTs at free of cost, of this consumption with including wastage remains as 15,10,77,933.
Amid covid surge the accelerated phase 3 strategy will be implemented from May 1st registration for New eligible population groups has been started from Wednesday they can register on COWIN portal cowin.gov.in or through arogya Sethu app.
