After Supreme Court’s oxygen audit committee report, BJP demands Arvind Kejriwal’s apology

After a Supreme Court panel report said it exaggerated the city’s oxygen requirement at the peak of the Covid-19 crisis, the Delhi government came under Opposition fire.

The oxygen audit committee set up by the Supreme Court during the second wave of Covid-19 has surmised that the Delhi government wanted four times more oxygen then what was required.

Delhi needed about 300 metric tonnes of oxygen at that time, but the government raised the demand to 1200 metric tonnes, according to the audit report,

Opposition parties blamed the AAP government for politicizing the pandemic and playing on the fears of the people.

“SC oxygen audit team finds Delhi Govt increased oxygen need by 4 times during peak & affected supply to 12 high caseload states. Hope accountability is fixed for disrupting oxygen supply across India”, Union Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal said.

BJP MP Gautam Gambhir and many others also reflected in and demanded an apology from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
