Bank loans up 6.11% in the two weeks ending July 30, according to RBI data

In 2020-21, bank lending increased by 5.56% and deposits increased by 11.4%

According to RBI data, bank lending rose 6.11% to 109.1 lakh crore and deposits rose 9.8% to 155.49 lakh crore in the two weeks ended July 30. According to the Position Statement of Scheduled Banks in India dated July 30, 2021 published Thursday, bank advances were Rs 102.82 lakh crore and deposits were Rs 141.61 lakh crore for the two weeks ending March 31 July 2020 ended.

For the last two weeks ending July 16, 2021, bank lending increased 6.45% and deposits increased 10.65%.

In 202021, bank loans increased by 5.56% and deposits increased by 11.4%.
