The news of death of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad chief Narendra Giri in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, has been doing rounds and in the initial stage of investigation, a suicide note has been found. In the note, name of a disciple of the Hindu seer has come up; Anand Giri. However, Anand Giri has refuted all allegations and has alleged a conspiracy against him. According to him, his mentor has been murdered by his security guard Ajay Singh, Manish Shukla, Abhishek Mishra and Shivek Mishra who had been extorting money from him constantly and the same people have conspired to make him look guilty. Anand Giri has also remarked that Narendra Giri had never written a letter in his whole life.
The post mortem of the seer, whose death has been condoled by many including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, JP Nadda and UP CM Yogi Adityanath, will be conducted tomorrow. The latter has promised that the culprit would not be spared and UP Deputy CM has also remarked that there would be a CBI probe into the case if need arises. Samajwadi Party has demanded judicial probe by a sitting high court judge into the death of the chief of one of the biggest Hindu saint organizations in the country. SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav visited Baghambari Math in Prayagraj to pay homage.
