The West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee have recently secured her seat by winning the Bhabanipur Bypoll with a record margin. The CM is now all set to be sworn in as a member of the Legislative Assembly along with 2other MLA’s of the TMC Party on 7th October, 2021. The Governor of the state would administer the oath empowered to him under Article- 188 of the Indian Constitution of India.
Governor of West Bengal, Mr Jagdeep Dhankar on Tuesday, 5th October, 2021 issued an official notification confirming that Ms Mamata Banerjee along with two MLA’s of the TMC Party, Mr Jakir Hossain and Mr Amirul Islam will sworn-in as the member of the Legislative Assembly on Thursday.
Bypolls of three constituencies that is Bhabanipur, Jangipur and Samserganj were held on 30th September, 2021 and the result was also declared on 3rd October, 2021. The Trinamool Congress swept all the three bypolls the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee defeating BJP candidate, Priyanka Tibriwal by a record margin.
The notification issued by Hon’ble Governor of the State, Mr Jagdeep Dhankar stating confirmation that the names of the three MLA’s names have been published in the Official Gazette dated October 4, 2021. Now all the eyes of Bengal is on the platform of the oath-taking ceremony on Thursday.
