Maharashtra: Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress call for Maharashtra Bandh for protest against Lakhimpur Kheri violence

The Mumbai Police chief will deploy the maximum number of police personnel on the street of Mumbai on Monday, 11th October, 2021. A tight arrangement is made to prevent the happening of any unwanted incidents during the Maharashtra Bandh. This strike was called by the three ruling parties of the state in order to protest against the killing of 4 farmers in the Uttar Pradesh Lakhimpur Kheri incident as per the statement given by the police officials.

The strong movement of the shutdown was called by the three major political parties of the state named as Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) allies that is the Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress. The police official also informed on Sunday that the patrolling will be intensified.

The Police department of Mumbai also informed in their official statement, “Three companies of the State Reserve Police Force (SRFP), 500 Home Guard personnel and 400 men from the Local Arms units are already deployed as additional manpower for the ongoing Navaratri festival security. But, keeping the bandh in mind, manpower to tackle any situation. Police bandobast will be (stepped up) on streets on Monday”.

Mr Sanjay Raut, the Rajya Sabha MP from the Shiv Sena Party clearly declared that his party will take part actively in the Mumbai Bandh with full force. He said that this shutdown is necessary to wake the people up against the ‘Anti- Farmer’ policies by the Central Government.
