To mobilize public support ahead of the parliamentary elections in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav will start a “yatra” from Kanpur on Tuesday.

“The ‘Samajwadi Vijay Yatra’ yatra aims to make people aware about the corrupt, autocratic and suppressive policies of the BJP government and to establish real democracy,” the party said in a statement on Monday.

One day before the yatra, the party posted a 17-second video showing Akhilesh Yadav speaking with his father Mulayam Singh Yadav and touching his feet to receive blessings. The leader of

BJP  and UP government spokesman Sidharth Nath Singh beat Akhilesh Yadav and said: “The one who left people persecuted during the  times of the Crown made his five-star advice public” and described it as “another insult to the people.” of the State “.

The SP said that Yatra will start from Kanpur and include Kanpur Dehat, Jalaun and Hamirpur for the first two days in October 1213.

“The yatra aims to provide justice to farmers, youths, dalits, the deprived, the backward, minorities and all sections and rid the state of autocratic and suppressive government,” SP spokesperson Rajendra Chowdhury said.

Chowdhury said it was Akhilesh Yadav’s third such yatra  after those of July 2001 and September 2011.

The politically decisive state is heading again towards a polygonal and heated competition in which all the major parties, such as BJP, BSP, SP and Congress, inform the  voters. Smaller parties like the Aam Aadmi Party and  AIMIM  are also in the fight.

The BJP claimed that Akhilesh Yadav was “fearful and nervous” when he accepted that the UP government was working for “a crime-free society, including the eradication of corruption, the diversion of property from criminals and the development of the state”.

In a statement, Sidharth Nath Singh said, “When CM Yogi was running from one district to another to provide relief to the people during corona, the SP leader was busy tweeting from his air conditioned drawing room from where he will be going to land in his air conditioned luxurious ‘Rath’ pretending to go to the people.”
