The former Chief Minister of Punjab and veteran Congress leader is all set to form its new political party and also would like to provide service to the state and its people. Captain Amarinder Singh publicly declared that he is forming his own political party and that he is ready for a seat arrangement with the Bharatiya Janata Party for the upcoming Punjab Assembly polls.
Captain Amarinder Singh through the medium of Twitter officially declared, “The battle for Punjab’s future is on. Will soon announce the launch of my own political party to serve the interests of Punjab and its people, including our farmers”. Captain Singh said that he is hoping for a seat arrangement with the BJP in the 2022 Punjab Assembly election, if the farmers protest is solved in the farmer’s interest.
This announcement from the veteran congress does not catch any eyes by surprise because in a recent interview he clearly revealed his intention of leaving congress and not joining BJP but will go in his own way.
It was also speculated that Singh’s exit from the Congress and not joining BJP might play an advantageous role in the Punjab Assembly election for the BJP because Singh’s Party can help the BJP in splitting the Congress bulk votes.
