No Plan To Deport Rohingyas : Karnataka Government Tells Supreme Court

The Karnataka Government raised objection against the writ petition filed by Advocate Ashwani Upadhyaya in supreme court seeking immediate deportation of illegal immigrants and infiltrators within 1 year . , which includes both Bangladeshis and Rohingyas . Karnataka government stated that they have no immediate plan of action to dismiss and debar them from state borders .


Direction given to central government and state governments to quickly identify , detain and deport the illegal immigrants . Also directed to amend the immigration Law of the state with suggestion of making infiltration a cognizable and non – Bailable offence . Also required to make a law which considers forging of documents a serious offence with stringent punishment .

The Karnataka government put objection that 72 rohingyas are identified working in state , they are working in different sectors and working peacefully . The order of petition is serving petitioner and untenable with law of the state .
